About Soraya
Hello! My name is Soraya Linneker, and I’m a 19-year-old Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Sheffield. With a strong background in maths, physics, and the sciences, I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others learn in a way that’s clear, supportive, and confidence-building. Having experience both online and in-person tutoring (and being a student myself), I understand the challenges students face — especially during the pressure of exams. That’s why I aim to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where every student can feel confident in their abilities and motivated to succeed!

I offer both online and in-person tutoring — I’m based in London during university holidays and term breaks, and I’m available for online lessons year-round. With one year of tutoring experience, I’ve mainly worked with GCSE and A Level students aged 15 and above, helping them prepare for exams, build strong foundations, and tackle challenging topics with ease. In my lessons, I use a mix of teaching techniques tailored to each student’s needs. Typically, we’ll start by working through theory using clear, structured notes, followed by practice questions and past papers to consolidate understanding and build exam confidence. Sessions are usually one hour long, but can be adjusted based on your preference.
