About Joe
Hi, my name is Joe. I'm currently in my first-year of a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Maths, at Victoria University of Wellington(GPA 8.5/9.0), where I am a school-leaver scholarship recipient.
I am passionate about Maths and would love to use knowledge to make a real difference in someone's life. Having achieved multiple NCEA Level 3 Calculus standards with Excellence as a Year 12 student, and NCEA Level 3 Statistics Endorsed with Excellence, I possess excellent knowledge of the NCEA maths curriculum.
I have been described by peers as kind, friendly, and a good teacher. I find great reward in helping others and I would enjoy working with someone to help achieve their academic goals.

I have undergone training as an English Language home tutor, and I am eager to build on my knowledge and gain tutoring experience. My teaching area is Maths up to and including NCEA Level 3.
My tutoring style would involve prioritising the needs of the student, whether that be understanding a concept, developing study skills, or preparing for an exam. I would endeavour to make lessons enjoyable, relating the learning material to the student's own experiences.
Lessons range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, at whatever location suits the student (or online).
