In my math tutoring, I employ various techniques to enhance understanding. I start with a diagnostic assessment to identify strengths and weaknesses. Lessons include interactive discussions, practical examples and reinforcement of previous content. I encourage questions, promoting a dynamic learning environment. I provide guided practice, gradually transitioning to independent problem-solving. Regular problem sheets gauge progress, enabling the student to see how they are doing and to get used to an exam environment.
My lessons are catered for 14-18yr olds doing A level or GCSE maths. I am able to offer long-term tutoring or singular sessions to help a student with a particular topic. Lessons are often 60 minutes, however this depends on what suits the student.
I have lots of experience tutoring maths students with singular and continuous sessions.
