About Mia
I’m Mia, a first year Economics student at Durham University, offering one-to-one online GCSE Maths tuition. I studied Geography, Maths and Physics at A-level and AS Further Maths, so approach lessons with plenty of enthusiasm for the subject. This, alongside a Grade 9 in my own Maths GCSE (2020), allows me to teach the course confidently and competently, in a friendly and approachable manner. Furthermore, I completed the first year of a Physics degree at Durham, before transferring to Economics.

The tuition I offer is unique and tailored to the individual needs of each student, with lessons aimed to build on existing knowledge and develop new mathematical skills in an active and engaging way. I have access to a wide range of teaching and revision material, as well as handy revision sheets and a variety of practice questions.
1-hour sessions include:
• Session planned to fit the specific needs of the student
• Practice questions (some worked through together as examples and others for the student to attempt individually)
• Possibility to work through the student’s own questions they bring to the session if they wish
• Advice on exam technique
• Recommendations for good revision resources
My prices start from £14 an hour and I have a wide range of evening and weekend availability. First session is free :)
