About Harold
On my 9th birthday I was gifted a crimson Ibanez electric guitar playing nothing but wrong notes and attitude. By 12 I formed a band covering bands from the 90s in middle school. It continued through out my teens just playing rhythm guitar for different bands in school and an arts camp but by the time I turned 19 is when my relationship with song writing became deeper. after being homeless and living on my own my faith grew so much and that reflected in my music. I would write honest songs to God and just sing it in my church. Worship was the beginning of a bigger expression when I would write. Passing down whatever I learned over the years being in university and just self taught sessions made me feel so accomplished. I loved seeing the face of someone who learned something new on guitar get excited to use it in their lives too. It just gives me joy to know you can pass down your gifts to refresh another.

As a former music student in college I know what it’s like to be a music major and have no idea whats going on. It can get overwhelming and you can feel like you’re never gonna understand this little thing called “Music Theory” don’t worry there’s hope. After a lot of trail and error I found out many practical/Helpful tips to figure out how to grasp theory and even thrive in the middle of a musical piece even if you’re not an expert. In the end we can realize it’s not as hard as we thought it was and all it takes is some basic understanding of how things work in the music world.
