About Daniel
My passion for history and education drives me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with students. History is a dynamic subject that evolves dramatically as you progress through each academic stage. To excel, students must go beyond memorizing dates and facts to develop strong analytical skills and the ability to craft well-written arguments. Having achieved excellent results throughout my own academic journey, I am excited to guide my tutees through theirs.
I have a broad interest in various historical topics and extensive experience in learning and tutoring ancient, medieval, early-modern, and modern history. My expertise also extends to social, economic, and world history, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
The support I received from tutors during my own studies has profoundly influenced my approach to teaching. With three years of tutoring experience, I have successfully helped more than twenty students achieve outstanding results in their exams. My goal is to inspire confidence and critical thinking and ensure each student reaches their full potential in history.

Given my past experiences as both a tutor and tutee, I believe strongly in a student-centred approach. Each session will focus on active learning and critical thinking, with the student's needs and interests front and centre.
Having achieved exceptional results in and experience tutoring GCSE, A Level, and degree-level history courses, I am well-equipped and highly confident in my ability to support students across all these academic stages. Lessons are usually based around four main areas depending on the student's needs:
• Essay technique
• Writing skills
• Source work
• Analytical skills
Furthermore, I am able to assist with university applications within the broader history subject area.
