I believe language learning is not simply memorising long vocabulary lists and that, even if you're just looking to pass a GCSE, the correct way to do so is to find what engages you and your interests. If you like music, then learn through Spanish music as I did. If you like film, then Spanish films are fantastic. I approach tutoring as a mix of the grammar and vocab learning and the more engaging, bespoke connection to the language. I can be flexible about timings of the lesson, e.g. half an hour or one hour, and would initially speak to the student about what works best for them. I have previously tutored underperforming GCSE students in Spanish, as well as teaching English to Spanish speakers so I have an understanding of how learning works both ways. I would like to tutor anywhere from early secondary school level to A-Level.
