About Tariy
A multi-faceted individual with strong experience in sociology, data analytics and research methods. A first-class degree and a dissertation score of 86 reflects my ability to apply my skill set. University enabled me to maximise my qualitative/quantitative skills through utilising rigorous forms of analysis and presenting my findings in a coherent manner. I also developed a strong understanding of sociological topics. This includes: education, crime and deviance, families and households, theory and methods and more! Such achievements have enabled me to be employed in reputable institutions including the Department of Education and Elekta where my data manipulation skills, ability to work with statistical software and develop recommendations/strategies from my analysis was strong.

Firstly, I gain an insight into my students' strengths and weaknesses. This will allow me to produce a comprehensive plan to target the areas that require improvements. I also produce my own PowerPoints and notes. Such information is informative, topical and in line with the specification of the exam board. For homework every week my student is advised to complete an exam question or an essay plan. This will boost their confidence and ability to score top marks. Last year, I bolstered the achievement of 6 A-Level Sociology students (ages 16-18) in weekly 1hr sessions. This entailed going through resources that were tailored to the specification, learning A/A* exam techniques and creating effective essay plans.

Tariy tutored my son who was in Year 13. My son’s predicted grade for A’Level Sociology was a grade E.
Tariy was able to keep my son engaged and focused on the subject. He applied his knowledge of the subject effectively, and in a fun and relatable way.
My son achieved a grade C in his A’Level results. I would highly recommend Tariy as a trusted tutor, to anyone who is struggling in this subject. Thank you TariyTariy makes sure you understand the slides. When I used to be tutored by him, and if i didn’t understand something he would make sure that i would understand he would relate sociology situations to real life situations, such as politics and more. He would also make sure i would do essays, 10Ms, 20Ms, even 6Ms just so i do better. All the time at the end of the week we would go through the essay and we will read together on what is wrong or what i could change for the future, he would give a grade at the end. This really shows you how far you have came from past essays. He would also make sure we go through every topic i didn’t understand and would give me an essay to do at the end. As well as that, if you don’t understand a question that you have been given he will provide you with examples as to what the question is about to give you a head start. If i found the essay really hard to do, we would go through it the next session so i can do it again and send it to him again. He’s really an amazing tutor, i really understood sociology better, it gave me more help with my writing skills and paraphrasing or even paragraph writing. I would recommend Tariy as he is also a young person and really relates to situations and understands what slang is or what you are talking about/ if you don’t, he will make sure you do in a way that’s easier for you to understand.
