About Nora

Hi! My name is Nora and my main goal as your teacher is to make you excited about biology, just like my teachers did for me when I was in school.

Having completed my O and A levels (relatively) recently, I am not only familiar with the syllabus, but also with the feeling of being in the deep end when stuff just doesn’t seem to make sense, and there’s just too much to learn.

You just need to remember, you’re not alone In feeling this way and you CAN do really well. They key is to find a studying method that suits you and makes life easier, not harder!

My job is to help you find the method that suits you best, employ it in our lessons, and give you the help and support you need to do well!

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Nora and I am a graduate who studied biological Natural Sciences at university. I am offering biology lessons which I hope will help you gain a better understanding and do well in school!

Some notes about my lessons:

-Students: I teach school-going students until A levels. I also take on university students on an individual basis, depending on their needs.
-Teaching style: I employ the use of colourful notes with many diagrams and charts to help break down complex concepts and aid those who prefer to learn visually.
-Timings: The lessons will be online so the length and timings are very flexible to best suit your needs! Usually I prefer 1 hour lessons to give plenty of time to make sure concepts are understood and concerns are addressed.
-Homework: I am happy to help students with any queries they my have regarding their school homework. Additionally, I am happy to give some short exercises to be completed at the leisure of the student to cement new concepts learnt.

When I was a student, I found that focusing on understanding concepts rather than memorisation is the key to not only doing well, but enjoying biology.
I believe this method of studying is responsible for my qualifications:
- O levels: 9A*s, 1A
-O levels: Top in the World Distinctions in Biology, Physics, English Literature
-A levels: 4A*s
-University: First Class Graduate from the University of Cambridge

My degree has given me the ability to explore multiple areas of biology, so I am confident I can help address a variety of confusions and questions. Do get in touch if you would like to know more
