About Jonty
I'm a friendly and approachable English Literature and Creative Writing graduate with a genuine passion for literature, language and communication. I enjoy exploring how writers use language to express ideas, develop characters and engage readers, and I'm keen to help students discover their own strengths in English.
My academic background has given me a strong foundation in literary analysis, essay writing, creative writing and critical thinking. Having also completed a Master's degree in UX Design, I've developed further skills in research, problem-solving and communicating complex ideas clearly.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to be patient, encouraging and adaptable in my approach. My goal is to help students feel more confident in their abilities, develop their skills and approach their studies with a positive mindset.
Whether you're looking to improve your grades, strengthen your essay-writing skills or gain a better understanding of English Literature, I'm happy to work with you towards your individual goals. I believe that with the right guidance and support, every student can make meaningful progress.

I focus on helping students understand texts in greater depth, explore themes and characters, analyse language and literary techniques, and develop their own interpretations. I can help students strengthen their reading comprehension, analytical writing, creative writing and exam technique.
Lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes, with the structure adapted to the student's needs. We might work through a challenging text, practise essay questions, review written work or focus on specific areas for improvement. Where appropriate, I can also help students prepare for upcoming exams and develop effective revision strategies.
I hold a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, giving me a strong academic foundation in literary analysis, written communication and creative writing. I have also completed a Master's degree in UX Design. While I am building my formal tutoring experience, I am enthusiastic about helping students improve their English skills through structured practice and personalised support.
My lessons are aimed primarily at secondary school students studying English, including GCSE English Literature and English Language students. I can also offer support with A-Level English Literature, essay writing, and creative writing.
