About Joe
Maths didn't always come particularly naturally to me—I had to work really hard to do well. So I know what it's like to struggle with maths, but I also know how to overcome those difficulties. That means I can explain mathematical concepts and methods in ways that students can understand, and I know from experience that when it comes to getting better at Maths practice really does make perfect.
I am well qualified to tutor maths. I achieved a 9 and a strong A* at GCSE and A-Level respectively and I have previous experience of tutoring A-Level Maths in a voluntary capacity.

I offer hour-long lessons which I tend to structure by first going over content until the student feels confident attempting some practice/exam questions on that topic, which we will then work through together. It is up to the student to decide in advance which topics they would like to cover, so I can plan the lesson accordingly.
