About Tian
Hi, I'm Tian! I'm an Asian American student looking to make some extra money, and make math fun again. I want to make sure you're entirely confident that you understand your material, so you get what you pay for and don't feel cheated. I also like to be as approachable as possible, because maths can be extremely hard and I myself know it can be very hard to ask for help. So, don't be shy!

I was the president of the math national honor society at my secondary school. This involved many one on one FaceTime calls and hours spent in the library. My methods of teaching are rather inconsistent, as they change based on the clients needs. Will happily lower rates for recurring visits! Length of the lesson also depends on how confident you are in yourself as we progress. However, my favorite method that works for many people is simply working through problems together, and me pointing out where any mistakes are and gently reminding of some commonly missed steps. I believe maths should be fun, and the only way for it to be fun is for you to understand it thoroughly! I am 18, but can tutor older than me depending on level of maths. My favorite age group to work with is people barely younger than me, or beginners in secondary but of course anyone is welcome.
