About Shresth
Hello! My name is Shresth, and I am thrilled at the possibility of being your tutor. My passion for teaching began during my time in boarding school, where I discovered a love for helping my friends understand Geography and History. I used to create fun and engaging lesson plans for our short, informal classes, and I found immense joy in seeing my friends grasp the concepts I explained. This early experience ignited a lifelong passion for teaching, and it is something I wish to continue doing. Teaching, for me, is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about helping others understand the subjects I love and experiencing the joy of learning together. I believe that education should be engaging and enjoyable, and I strive to make my lessons innovative and out of the box. My goal is to help every student not only understand but also appreciate and find joy in the subjects they study. In terms of my background, I am currently studying Finance, but I have a deep love for Mathematics, Sciences, and English. These subjects have always fascinated me, and I enjoy exploring their complexities and sharing that enthusiasm with my students. Beyond academics, I have a diverse range of interests, including Theatre, playwriting, creative writing, and filmmaking. These creative pursuits allow me to bring a unique perspective to my teaching, making my lessons more dynamic and engaging. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals and sharing the excitement of learning with you.

My teaching methodology centres on the belief in the importance of both knowledge and its application to real-world scenarios. I strive to keep my lessons engaging and effective and that can be by integrating small, fun quizzes that reinforce learning in an enjoyable manner or even trying different perceptions to the same concept in a bid to create a sense of understanding that is usable in the real world. Innovation and creativity are key elements in my lesson plans; I take pride in making my sessions innovative and out of the box, ensuring that students find them memorable and impactful. I am flexible in the duration of the lessons I offer, accommodating sessions that can range from 30 minutes to an hour or even longer, depending on the student's needs and preferences. I am equipped to teach a diverse range of age groups, from 9-year-olds to college-level students. My experience spans various subjects and levels, including preparing students for aptitude exams such as the CFA, SAT, and ACT. I have taught with Teach for India, an NGO dedicated to providing quality education to underprivileged children. For one and a half years, I taught Mathematics and Sciences to students aged 11 to 17, enriching their learning experience and helping them achieve their academic goals. Additionally, I have worked with Varsity Tutors, gaining significant experience in both online and offline teaching environments. At Varsity Tutors, I taught Maths, Economics, and English, adapting my teaching style to cater to a wide range of student needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I also taught Economics through Instilt Education, an online platform focused on educating less-resourced students. I do adore teaching and have therefore, as mentioned above, taught a whole host of students from diverse demographics and wish to continue on this path.

I was a student who used to despise Math and hate it to the core!
However, after I started doing lessons with Shresth, I actually started enjoying it. I feel that was because he himself was so excited to teach it and always came up with these unique visualisations or out of the box ideas to help me learn concepts such as Trigonometry, regression analysis and integration.
I am so glad that he taught and that I can write a review for him!
Trust me! He will be worth it!View more recommendations
