I have successfully passed all three levels of the CFA exam and hold a BBA with Finance specialization from Laurier. I have experience tutoring various university courses to hundreds of students. While co-founding a start-up, I honed my ability to communicate effectively and tell a story.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I first found my love for the business world in high school.
We had a stock picking competition, where I was fascinated by the strategy involved in picking the ideal investments.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
I am a passionate believer in spreading financial literacy. Unfortunately, a lot of the financial world uses complicated terminology, creating barriers for many. I really enjoy making the world of finance accessible, relatable, and enjoyable!
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
Majoring in Finance and completing the CFA Program, I've seen firsthand how difficult finance courses can be. It is extremely rewarding to help others get through the pain and to the other side of the "A-HA" moment.
Do you have any role models; or a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
My CFA Prep Provider, Mark Meldrum. He has an infectious passion for the world of finance and teaching. He was able to make each reading crystal clear while making the content engaging and even funny. I try to bring that level of value to students. Mark has a lot of free content on online, which I highly recommend.
What are your keys to success?
Do as many practice problems as possible. Applying knowledge is way more effective than taking notes!

Ask yourself if you can explain the concept to a 5-year-old. If not, keep reviewing it until you can!

Supplement your learning with outside sources. Keep up with the financial news and learn about new concepts online. Applying theory to the real world really helps concepts stick!
