About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring I focus on helping students build a deep understanding of concepts rather than relying on rote memorization. By breaking topics down to their foundations and explaining the why and how behind each step, I ensure students develop both confidence and problem-solving skills. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of guided practice, so students learn to approach problems independently instead of simply recalling formulas. Lesson Structure Each session typically runs for 60–90 minutes. I begin with a quick recap of previous material, then introduce new concepts in a clear, structured way before moving into practice problems. I adjust the pace to suit the student, always aiming for clarity and steady progress. Qualifications & Experience I completed my CIE GCE A Levels in Sri Lanka, where I was awarded First in the Island for Mathematics and achieved 4 A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (ATAR equivalent 99.5). After graduating, I tutored A Level Mathematics students, helping them steadily improve and achieve their goals. One highlight was working with a student who began Mathematics only six months before their exam, together we covered the entire syllabus, and they earned results strong enough for university admission.
