About Shahrima
I’m a professional working in London. I was born in London but my first language was Bangla.
I speak Bangla fluently and can speak different dialects. Anytime I meet a Bengali, I use the opportunity to practice and reignite my love for the language.
I used to be a SEND teaching assistant. My role involved working with younger children with learning difficulties. I had to personalise my lessons to each child.

The first session is all about understanding your goals and us getting to know each other.
We’ll learn through conversation and I can set homework at the end of each session. I can also recommend Bengali music & movies, which will help you learn.
If you’d like I can recommend some Bengali events around London.
Although I was born in England, I’ve travelled to Bangladesh and can speak different dialects.
I can also speak Hindi, which I learnt through watching Bollywood movies.
