About Alexa
As the eldest of my siblings, I experienced a significant amount of growth during my childhood. One year for Christmas, my mother bought a mini-sewing kit for me. She encouraged me to use my creativity to design dresses. Later that year, I had the privilege to attend a fashion camp. My peers and I were excited to explore the world of design. My instructor told me to pick out a fabric for a skirt. I chose an outrageous fabric and created the skirt of my dreams. After the camp, I learned that my mother pushed me in the right direction. She inspired me to apply to the University of Delaware's fashion design program. Grateful to this day, I thank my mother for being such a positive influence in my fashion career.
