About Jessica

Hello! I am an experienced and qualified teacher with a strong passion for helping children develop confidence and success in maths. Having worked with primary-aged pupils in the classroom, I understand the importance of building secure foundations and making maths feel accessible and achievable for every child.

I take a patient, supportive, and encouraging approach, adapting my teaching to suit each child’s individual needs and learning style. My aim is to help children develop both their understanding and their confidence, whether they are working on key number skills, tackling problem-solving, or preparing for SATs.

I believe children learn best when they feel relaxed and supported, so I create a positive learning environment where they are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow in confidence.

Above all, my goal is to help children realise that they *can* succeed in maths and to build lasting confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

My maths lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and confidence-building, helping children develop a strong understanding of key mathematical concepts in a supportive environment.

I focus on building solid foundations in number skills, arithmetic, problem-solving, and reasoning, while also addressing any gaps in understanding. Lessons are adapted to each child’s needs, whether they require extra support, help keeping up with school work, or extension to stretch their abilities further. I offer hourly lessons at £30, and 30 minute lessons at £15.

I take a patient and encouraging approach, using a variety of methods and practical examples to make maths accessible and engaging. My aim is to help children feel more confident and less anxious about maths, while developing the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Above all, I want children to see that they *can* do maths—and to build confidence in their own abilities.
