About Liz
I have volunteer tutored for over ten years both high school and college students including spelling, sentence syntax, and grammar for students with English as a second language. I do my best to make lessons fun so that the tasks at hand feel less daunting and very achievable. I’m a big fan of positive reinforcement and working collaboratively. I have worked in both education and medicine. My years in translating medical terminology into understandable concepts for the layperson has given me a unique background in appropriate spelling, grammar, and syntax. I have also learned through trial and error in the best practice for test taking and have a high success rate for both myself and those I have tutored in the past.
