About Joshua

I’m an experienced physiotherapist working in an Advanced Practice role in the ED and in private practice. I have worked across multiple spaces in the hospital, private and community settings.

I’m passionate about helping students bridge the gap between theory and real world practice. Having worked in fast-paced clinical environments, I bring practical insights into assessment, injury management, and clinical reasoning that go beyond textbooks.

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence, simplifying complex concepts, and developing the clinical thinking skills required to succeed in both exams and placements. Whether you’re struggling with anatomy, rehab planning, or practical skills, I aim to make learning engaging and relevant.
I particularly enjoy working with students who want to feel more prepared and capable in clinical settings, and I’m committed to helping you reach your full potential.

About the lesson

Who this is for:
Physiotherapy students at any stage of their degree (first year through to final year) seeking support with:
Clinical placement preparation and guidance
Clinical reasoning, including diagnosis, problem lists, and treatment planning
Assessment preparation (assignments, written exams, and practicals)
“Soft skills” such as communication, rapport building, and developing strong therapeutic relationships

How I can help you excel
My tutoring is tailored to your individual needs and learning style. Sessions are tailored to how you like to learn, this may include case-based discussions, exam preparation, and practical skills.

Lesson structure and delivery
I will start with a free 20 minute initial consultation to understand your goals and create a personalized plan.

Ongoing sessions are typically 1 hour and can be delivered online or in person depending on what the needs are.

Having been through the same pathway, I understand the challenges of studying physiotherapy and transitioning into clinical practice. My aim is to support you with practical, relevant guidance so you can feel confident and capable throughout your course and early career
