About Amanda

I bring a lifetime of real-world healthcare experience into every lesson I teach. I began my career at the bedside and worked across every unit and specialty in healthcare, gaining a deep understanding of what excellence, critical thinking, and calm under pressure truly require. I later advanced my practice and spent my professional life in healthcare roles ranging from clinical care to psychiatry to higher education. I don’t just teach the material — I teach from lived experience. Teaching is my calling. I now dedicate my work to helping the next generation of healthcare professionals rise with confidence, clarity, and competence. I don’t teach memorization; I teach judgment, clinical reasoning, and how to think like a nurse and like the exam. Students who work with me gain more than tutoring — they gain a mentor who understands the journey and knows how to guide them through it. I do this work because I believe deeply in healthcare and in the people who choose this path. About the lesson

My teaching is results-driven, strategic, and grounded in real clinical experience. I don’t believe in busywork, shortcuts, or memorization without understanding. Nursing exams don’t test recall—they test clinical judgment. I teach you how to think the way the exam thinks, which is the skill that separates students who stay stuck from those who consistently pass.
Every session is individualized and intentional. I quickly identify exactly where you’re losing points—whether it’s content gaps, anxiety under pressure, flawed test-taking patterns, or difficulty with SATA, priority, delegation, and safety questions—and we fix it at the root. I break down complex topics like anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, fundamentals, and clinical reasoning into clear, logical frameworks that finally make sense and actually stick.
I teach from experience across every unit and specialty in healthcare, which means I don’t just explain what the answer is—I explain how a nurse thinks through it in real life. You’ll understand why the correct answer is correct, why the others are wrong, and how to apply the same reasoning to any question you face moving forward. This builds independence, confidence, and consistency—not guesswork.
