I am a dedicated university student concurrently pursuing studies in Political Economy and Information Technology. I am currently seeking a part-time mathematics tutoring role to supplement my income while completing my degrees. With a strong academic background and a passion for clear communication, I am committed to helping students master complex concepts and achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach and Methodology
With three years of experience, my methodology is built on diagnostic reinforcement. I begin by identifying specific conceptual gaps—the "why" behind the struggle—rather than just helping a student finish their homework. By deconstructing complex problems into fundamental principles, I ensure students have the "basics" mastered before moving toward advanced Algebra, Calculus, or Integration.

Teaching Techniques
The Socratic Method: I ask guided questions to lead students to the solution themselves, which builds long-term retention and confidence.

Targeted Drills: Once a weakness is identified (e.g., trigonometric identities or coordinate geometry), we focus on repetitive, varied practice for that specific area.

Visual Mapping: I use geometric visualization to explain abstract concepts in Calculus and Geometry, making them more tangible.

Lesson Format & Details
Lesson Length: Typically 60 to 90 minutes. I find 60 minutes is ideal for targeted homework support, while 90 minutes allows for a deeper dive into new, advanced topics.

Qualifications: I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science (Internetworking), providing me with a high-level technical understanding of mathematical applications.

Target Audience: Lessons are specifically designed for students in Years 7 through 12. Whether the goal is catching up on foundational skills or preparing for high-level HSC exams, the content is tailored to the individual's current academic level.

I conduct these sessions throughout the Inner West Sydney area, focusing on creating a supportive environment where no question is too small.
