About Elena
I am an Economics tutor with 5 years of experience teaching students from school to college level. Over the years, I have successfully guided 200–300 students, helping them strengthen their understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and international trade. My teaching philosophy is centred on clarity, engagement, and practical application. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable parts while encouraging students to think critically and connect theory to real-world scenarios. I use interactive lessons, examples, and problem-solving exercises to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. Many of my students have improved their grades significantly and developed confidence in tackling challenging topics. My methodology emphasises accountability, helping students take responsibility for their learning through structured exercises and consistent feedback. I foster creativity by encouraging students to explore real-world economic problems, analyse data, and propose innovative solutions. Communication is central to my approach, as I guide students to clearly explain economic concepts, arguments, and interpretations both in writing and verbally. Lessons are interactive, combining theory with case studies, graphs, and data analysis to connect abstract ideas to real-world applications. I also incorporate problem-solving sessions and exam-focused strategies to build confidence and competence. My goal is to support every learner in mastering economics, thinking analytically, and applying knowledge effectively, whether for exams, assignments, or future career paths.
