About Mike
Michael’s journey into the digital realm began during the dotcom boom, shaping his career in design and innovation. At Autoweb.com, a pioneer in online car sales, he laid the foundation for a career redefining user experiences across industries.
With 15+ years of expertise spanning eCommerce, telecom, and fintech, Michael has led high-impact design initiatives. As Lead UI Designer at Livescribe, he helped launch the award-winning Pulse 1.0 smart pen, selling 400,000+ units. At Good.com (now BlackBerry), his interfaces made first-gen smartphones more engaging, while at Kony.com (now Temenos), he led global UX efforts for clients like Citibank and HSBC, serving 900+ businesses worldwide.
At Bill.com, Michael spearheaded design for cloud-based financial operations, enhancing digital finance tools. Now, as Head of Design at MyBenefits, he is pioneering AI-driven healthcare solutions, shaping the future of health and benefits technology.
Michael studied mechanical and electrical engineering at Colegio Guayaquil, Ecuador, and digital web authoring at College of Marin, CA. His career stands as a testament to the power of visionary design—one interface at a time.
