About John Duncan
I've been on the language-learning journey. I'm an English-speaking Canadian, my bachelor's degree is in French, and I live and work in Mexico; learning and teaching languages is a huge part of my life. After a 35-year career in business communications, I chose to pursue my passion for teaching and have never been more fulfilled. So, I know that one key to success is a teacher who understands your goals and ambitions. Whether you're prepping for an English proficiency exam or want to communicate more effectively in the world of business English, I'm the patient and experienced online teacher you're looking for.

I never begin an English course without gaining a full understanding of my student's goals and ambitions. Once it's clear why you're studying English, I start with a series of activities that help me determine where your strengths are and what needs improvement. If you're prepping for an English exam -- no matter whether it's IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, etc. -- you'll find I'm an expert tutor who can help with all four language skills. If your goal is more effective English business communication (and you're already at an intermediate or advanced level), my focus on great speaking and writing skills will help you build great relationships with clients, employers, and colleagues.
