About Sharika
I’m Sharika Zaman, a passionate and high-achieving Year 9 student dedicated to helping younger learners succeed in English. I have earned full marks across school subjects, straight A grades, and study the English Extension elective at just 14 years old. My writing achievements include winning a $2000 Blog Writing Competition scholarship and a $1000 Climate Change Essay award, as well as receiving the Future Leaders Climate Change Award. Beyond academics, I actively contribute to my school community: I volunteer to tutor IEC students on a different campus, helping them strengthen their English and confidence; I participate in Model United Nations, Army Cadets, and public speaking and debating workshops, all of which sharpen my leadership, communication, and organizational skills. My English lessons for children under 12 run for about one hour, with a clear, planned timetable to keep students on track while fostering creativity and understanding. I combine interactive activities, personalized feedback, and engaging storytelling to build literacy skills and inspire a love of learning in a warm, encouraging environment.

I’m Sharika, a $2000 blog writing competition winner and $1000 climate change essay winner who loves inspiring children to enjoy English. My 1-hour lessons are tailored for students under 13, focusing on reading, writing, and grammar through fun, creative activities. I use interactive exercises, personalised feedback, and engaging storytelling to build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and spark a lifelong love of learning.
I volunteer at my school to tutor IEC students on a different campus, helping them improve their English and build confidence.
I begin each lesson by planning a structured timetable for the hour, ensuring we stay on schedule, follow a consistent routine, and clearly understand each learning goal.
