Hello,
My name is Danielle Broadway and I have a passion for education and student success. I have been working in education for over 7 years with K-12, community college and university students. I have an AA degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and a BA degree in English Literature and a minor in Communication studies. I am about to begin attending Cal Poly Pomona to pursue my MA in English Literature/TESOL. I have experiences with ESL, special education, returning students, students for diverse backgrounds and more. I believe that everyone deserves to access and receive a valuable education. I believe in encouraging and challenging my students to be the best they can be in their studies and in life. I aspire to be an English professor and do my very best to inspire the next generation of scholars.

My praxis centered pedagogy focuses on making education more accessible, equitable, and achievable. I believe that the theoretical principles that are introduced in academia must translate to the communities around us. I believe in guided explanation and review but also allowing students to practice the lessons on their own. I want to encourage students to be independent learners that take initiative to be lifelong learners.
