Lucy is an excellent Welsh tutor. Her knowledge is superb and she teaches in a fun, relaxed manner. She is very friendly, chatty and bubbly and makes you feel relaxed and at ease. She is great with technology and makes learning fun with additional resources she creates.

Lucy was the tutor for our group studying level Uwch 1 Welsh for the past year on-line. I'm not a fan of language learning via Zoom, but Lucy worked extremely hard to make the lessons informative, interesting and a lot of fun. Her friendly manner put everyone at ease, and every week she supplied an excellent handout full of exercises additional to those in the course book, and well-presented explanations of grammatical points. She also set a variety of homework tasks which were marked and corrected promptly. The course was very enjoyable and I learned a lot.

She has a very sound understanding of the Welsh language and makes great efforts to convert that knowledge into practical support. Her PowerPoint slides are specifically designed to simplify complex structures into easy-to-understand pathways, allowing the learner to comprehend linguistic patterns, while clarifying lingering doubts and confusions. Lucy instills confidence in both the individual and the group. She is never judgemental, nor critical of a learner's efforts. She only ever wants to help.
