About Iris

My name is Iris and I am 21 years old. I have always had a massive interest in music. I find it fascinating how music can make you feel diverse and creative on many different levels. I started to study music when I was 7 years old and now after finishing my music degree at BIMM London, I decided to start teaching and passing along my knowledge and enthusiasm as well as my passion and beliefs towards music, technique and vocal expertise.

About the lesson

I am motivated by the opportunity to see a student learn and develop new skills from class to class. I like to give students the chance to focus on their goals but to also learn various new techniques and musical ideas in order for them to know how to apply it to their own work or skill. My teaching style alters depending on the age and ability of the student. I like to know the goals and focus points that the student wants to work on while emerging the student in new points and techniques in music that could be new, creative and important subjects for their musical development. The lessons will be adapted to each student but we will start with a 2 part lesson. The first part will be dedicated to technique and warm-up. The second part we will be focusing on using the techniques learnt in songs and music that already exists or originals that the student might have.
