About Nicky
I have a background in political research, having worked in Parliament and as a speechwriter and researcher, and bring a breadth of practical, real-world experience as well as academic knowledge. I have a PhD in politics and a Master of Research degree in Global Political Economy. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, I am an experienced tutor and university teacher and have taught a range of subjects across politics, business and sociology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I teach and support a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate students through their studies, deliver study skills sessions and support bachelor and masters students through the process of developing and producing their dissertations.
My approach to tutoring is student-centred and my focus is on understanding students' strengths and identifying areas for development. I can support you with general study skills, exam preparation, essay writing and help you find your confidence and develop your own judgement.
