About Fidan
Hello! My name is Fidan, and I’m a UBC Biochemistry graduate with years of tutoring experience in mathematics and science. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve worked as a researcher at UBC and in the biotechnology industry, where I’ve applied the same concepts I teach every day.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their grades, and truly understand the material—not just memorize it. I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and well-prepared for every lesson. Each session is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style to ensure they get the most out of our time together.
Whether you’re looking to catch up, excel in your coursework, or prepare for an important exam, I’m committed to providing a supportive and professional learning experience that helps you achieve lasting success.

I believe the best way to learn is by understanding concepts rather than memorizing them. My lessons are interactive, personalized, and adapted to each student’s learning style and goals.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by clear explanations of new concepts and guided practice problems. I encourage students to ask questions and focus on building confidence alongside strong problem-solving skills.
As a UBC Biochemistry graduate with research and biotechnology industry experience, I connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, making science and math more engaging and easier to understand.
My lessons are ideal for high school, and introductory university students studying mathematics, biology, chemistry, and biochemistry. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, improving your grades, or strengthening your foundation, I’m here to help you succeed.
