About Courtney

I have been a student of mindfulness for over 13 years, with certifications from UCSD, Insight and Sounds True.

My teachings combines my studies in mindfulness based stress reduction, non-violent communication and cognitive therapies along with mindful movement and yin yoga practices.

My mindfulness and yoga practice has changed how I approach anxiety, conflict ans struggle and is a personal passion that is a way of life that I continue to learn and grow from.

I love to share the practice and philosophy of mindfulness with my students and watch as they become their own greatest teacher through somatic connection.

I wanted to share these teachings to be of service and help others. I was a student for years (and continue to be) and made the decision to teach mindfulness and yoga due to the positive impact it has on my life.

I have studied mindfulness for over 13 years, with certifications that include:

- Mindfulness Teacher Certification, Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield - 2 year program

- Yin Yoga Certification - Boulder CO

- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Facilitator Certification, UCSD California

- Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Insight, Longmont CO

- Non-Violent Communication, Insight

- Mindfulness Teacher Training, Tara Brach

- Continuing Education, San Diego: Mindful healing through nature, Pema Chodron & Sharon Salzburg teaching studies, Diana Shimkus, md

- 500 Hours Yoga & Meditation Teacher Certifications, Yogshala, Rishikesh India

- Art of Living Hawai'i - Breathwork, Meditation, Silence Intensives

About the lesson

Our first meeting is an introduction to Mindfuless to understand their experience and reason for wanting to practice.

From there we create a weekly schedule to meet and I create a personalized program of reading, teaching and meditation.
