About Ziad

I am a BSc Biomedical Science currently studying Graduate Medicine at the University of Oxford. I have 4 years of experience in tutoring 11+, KS3 GCSE, A levels. I also offer support to medical school applicants regarding the UCAT, GAMSAT or interviews.

My qualifications are:
All A* in GCSE
A*A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths
3170 UCAT
74 GAMSAT (with 84 in S3)

Being a tutor is so rewarding. I have worked with different students with different backgrounds and different learning needs (ADHD, autism, intellectual disability), and nothing is as satisfying as a student understanding a hard chemistry or maths concept that they have been trying hard to grasp!

About the lesson

Before starting the teaching plan for every student, we have a free introductory 30-minute meeting where I get to know the student, their strengths, their weaknesses, their expectations, and their targets.

I tailor each plan accordingly, keeping the main focus on the students weaknesses, supporting them through weekly homework, past paper exam questions, and constant feedback. Feedback in the lesson AND outside the lesson.

Lessons are usually 1-2 hours, and are carried online via Google Meet. Students are encouraged to use Google Chat to send their homework and any questions they have, even outside the lesson. This is particularly useful for GCSE/ A level students around exam season as they feel someone is with them throughout their revision.
