About Alli

I graduated with honors from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2019, earning a degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. During college, I was actively involved in several extracurriculars, serving on the executive boards of both the Bloomsburg Forensics Team (speech and debate) and the Political Science Students Association. While in college, I worked as a tutor and teaching assistant for Political Science Research Methods, one of the most challenging courses in the Liberal Arts Department. The position was created specifically for me, as the department was unable to find anyone who could teach every aspect of the subject until I came along. Additionally, I received a prestigious research scholarship for my contributions to the department. Currently, I am a law student. In my limited free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, biking, spending time in nature, and cooking. I'm also a big animal lover—feel free to tell me about your pets!

About the lesson

Over the years, I have developed and refined my teaching style to be both efficient and effective. I am qualified to teach students from kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as undergraduate students in political science, legal studies, and history. My specialties include U.S. government, U.S. history, political science, international studies, research methods, women in politics, and more.

My teaching method focuses on building both your confidence in the subject matter and your ability to apply study skills across different subjects. I don’t just want you to be able to answer questions on a test—I want you to be able to explain why you arrived at that answer, so you’ll be prepared for anything a test may throw at you.

In addition to subject-specific tutoring, I offer study lessons for all subjects and make an excellent study partner! As your tutor, I will never simply provide answers and move on. When we begin working together, I will assess your current understanding of the subject to identify your strengths and areas for improvement. I prioritize quality over quantity, so understanding where you are in the material will help me create a personalized lesson plan tailored to your needs. Please let me know your preferred learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, combination, etc.) so I can design lessons that work best for you!
