About Laura
I am an undergraduate at the University of Bath where I currently study chemical engineering and have a passion for sharing my knowledge. I currently tutor a student in year 10 sitting GCSE maths through a volunteering scheme and am interested in broadening my scope to other children to help them pursue their dreams. Previously at sixth form, I tutored younger students science and music, so am confident in tackling fundamental concepts in easy to understand ways. I am excited to bring fun anecdotes and get stuck into maths and science with you!

Lessons are loosely based around examination specifications, honing in on specific skills and/or exam technique in which the pupil would like to make improvement. Using past paper questions and going over tricky material in new and fun ways are methods which I employ to engage students in the topic. A typical lesson length is 1 hour, where together we will cover the topic's specification, added reading or problems, and exam technique through past papers. I currently volunteer tutoring a maths student at GCSE level and have previously taught younger students science and music. Lessons are for students sitting GCSEs and A-Levels in maths and science, typically in years 9, 10, 11 and 12. This includes those at foundation or higher levels for GCSE.
