About Nelson

Hello, I’m Nelson, an experienced and dedicated tutor specializing in Accounting and English Literature.

I believe that effective tutoring is about more than simply giving students answers. It is about helping them understand difficult concepts, develop confidence and become independent learners. I create a friendly, supportive and professional learning environment where students can feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and improving at their own pace.

I am a Certified Accounting Technician with over 7 years of experience in accounting, giving me strong practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting and finance. I also hold a TEFL Certificate and have more than 3 years of experience teaching English to learners from different backgrounds and age groups.

My Accounting lessons are designed to make challenging topics easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, step-by-step problem solving and examination practice. In English Literature, I help students develop stronger reading, analysis, critical-thinking and essay-writing skills while encouraging them to express and support their own ideas.

I adapt my teaching style to each student's level, learning goals and individual needs. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for examinations, looking to improve your grades or simply want to strengthen your academic skills, I will work with you patiently and systematically.

I teach school students, university students, beginners and adult learners, with lessons tailored to the appropriate level. My typical lessons are 60 minutes, giving us enough time to explain concepts, practise skills and review progress.

I am an experienced and supportive tutor offering personalized lessons in Accounting and English Literature. My goal is to make every lesson practical, engaging and easy to understand while helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.

My teaching approach is student-centred. I first identify the learner’s current level, strengths and areas that need improvement, and then adapt each lesson to their individual needs. I use clear explanations, practical examples, guided exercises, discussions, questions and regular feedback to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorize information.

For Accounting, I focus on building a strong understanding of fundamental concepts before progressing to more challenging topics. Lessons can include bookkeeping, financial statements, reconciliations, accounting principles, calculations, exam questions and practical problem-solving. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps and work through examples with students until they are confident solving similar questions independently.

For English Literature, I help students develop their understanding of literary texts, characters, themes, plot, language, literary devices and context. I also focus on essay writing, comprehension, critical thinking and how to structure strong analytical answers. Students are encouraged to express their own ideas while learning how to support their interpretations with evidence from the text.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although the structure can be adapted depending on the student's age, level and learning objectives. Each lesson normally includes a short review, introduction of the new concept, guided practice and independent application.
