About Marina
I combine standard methods of tutoring/teaching a given subject, with the added component of psychologically descerning the student's mental processes, deficits, strengths, and other facets that I then combine to create a tutoring curriculum personal to the student, not only in their academic abilities but their psychological facets as well.
I love learning more than anything in the world, however, when I was younger there were some barriers I experienced that did not allow me to perform or display my actual academic abiltities. I found that from having a tutor that broke it down in a manner that fit my way of thinking and speed helped me tremedously. Additionally, I found that I still was not able to perform to my full potential until I learned and treated psychological aspects that were inhibiting me. Once these were taken care of, I was able to perform excellently. The feeling of accomplishment I gained from never giving up and perservering was paramount for many reasons in my life and so I enjoy the work I do because I get to be a big part of others feeling that same feeling of accomplishment and self-worth as I did.
