About Moises

My lessons are tailored to the specific learning styles of each student and their goals fo rtaking lessons! Whether you are learning for fun or for job advancement, I can help you acheive those goals.

Over 25 years of teaching experience to all ages and all styles of learning, 4 teaching certifications in 2 states, University Administrator specializing in Special Needs populations, well versed in effetive teaching methodologies.

I get alot of joy from seeing my students progress andreach their goals! Every time they succeed i succeed with them.

Please note that I am not vaccinated. Just want you to have all the information to make the best choice and find the best fit.

I realized I had a gift for teaching as a college student in my second year. Several students would see that I undesrtood something well in class and ask me to help them understand it. Before I knew it, I was working 20 hours a week as a private tutor and getting great results for my students in their classes! That was over 25 years ago.

I have taught large groups of 52 students and taught one on one as well and everything in between. From Spanish, to large guitar ensembles, professional studio recording, and Latin Dance, I take a systematic approach to teaching each person in the way their particular brain absorbs the most information. Every one is differenet and the lessons should reflect thatindividuality!

About the lesson

The initial interview of my student is the most important part. I get to know what the golas of my student are before ever starting any teaching activity. This allows for the most effective teaching and the greatest level of interest for my student. It is their lessons and it should be everything they hoped it would be.

I have a certification in Special Education so I was fortuneate to work with students with all types of disabilitites such as Dyslexia, low vision, blindness, Deafness, PTSD, Austistic Spectrum Disorder, and medical conditions resulting in Seizures. I also taught Gufted and talented students who were 3 to 4 grade levels above their peers and required more hands on and challenging project-based education to keep them engaged and excited to come to school!

MAke sure you ask alot of questions about how the teacher teaches his subject. It's not about howmuch they know, but how well they teach it to each individual person. If it was easy or one-size-fits-all, everyone would be a great teacher.

My class to teach Latin Dacne to teh blind was featured on several news reports on TV.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be honest about your goals. And ask them what they do when their student doesn't understan what is being taught.

What are some success stories they have had in the world of teaching others.

Perfect! Moises is helping my daughter with listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish at a beginner level. I love that he is a stickler for pronunciation. It is the value of one- on-one lessons compared to a classroom - more speaking and listening time.

Moises intuitively understands others and their different learning styles and is very supportive of where each student is at. His instruction is very clear and he strives for all his students to do their best and excel. Moises is not only a fun instructor who ensures his students are having an enjoyable experience, he teaches from his HEART.
