About Abigail
Hi! My name is Abigail Buonagurio. I am a Division 3 sophomore soccer player at the University of Scranton. I have also played on East Meadow ECNL for 7 years. Finally, I have won all-league and all-division in my 2022 and 2023 high school soccer seasons at Northport High School. I am open to training kids of any ages and any level of play. I initially like to assess the level at which the trainee is at to find factors of play the trainee excels in and places they may struggle. Then throughout future sessions I will set up drills specific to what I see they need to work on, as well as what the player wants to work, if they see another area in which they struggle with in league play. This can range from defensive tactics, and shooting technique to the basics on how to receive a ball or work on speeding up one's pace on the soccer ball. I have played about every position except for goalie so I have a broad understanding of what is expected of each position on the soccer field. To make trainings more interesting I usually incorporate skill oriented games and challenges to build skill with some competition and motivation. Finally, I like to add a fitness and agility aspect because of the significance of building up an athlete's ability to move quickly off the ball to help make their movement on the ball more efficient.
