About Chana
Hit Me With Music provides music therapy, adaptive lessons, and music instruction for all ages and abilities. Based in Newark, NJ, the practice serves New York City and North New Jersey with flexible delivery options including in-person, on-site, online, and pre-recorded sessions. One-on-one services are led by a Board Certified Music Therapist or qualified instructor to support emotional, cognitive, physical, or musical goals, including strengthened musicianship, clearer speech, improved movement, memory recall, mood regulation, emotional expression, and longer attention span.
Individuals and families can book private music therapy, adaptive lessons, or typical lessons in piano, acoustic and bass guitar, and voice (including jazz, R’n’B, and blues). Businesses and organizations can contract customized programs such as drum circles, percussion, songwriting, group piano and voice, music theory, and music & movement, as well as corporate and team-building sessions offered virtually, in person, or via custom pre-recorded content. Group classes include music appreciation for kids, group piano, music theory, voice, guitar, seasonal drum circles, and social jam sessions. The practice hosts biannual showcases each June and December. A free initial consultation is available.
