Miss Kim has been wonderful with my daughter. She is communicative, very patient, and she organizes her session to be a progression of vocal exercises and some songs that help my daughter grow in skill. Each session is highly organized and well thought out with clear instructions that make it easy to follow.

My daughter can be hard to work with in that she can be very self critical, but Miss Kim has shown understanding and calmness that help my daughter work through rough moments and get back to singing. She has a good balance between giving constructive feedback, and listening.

She also periodically organizes singing recitals and invites her students to join and work on a song throughout the lessons. We recently had our first one, and my extremely shy daughter (who would only sing in front of her brother) sung confidently and wonderfully.

I am one of her older students. I have never had any vocal lessons of any kind but i have always loved to sing. I knew I had some raw talent. I did not think I could get better, but I was wrong. I have been taking lessons with Kimberly Mitchell Peterson for the past 13 years. Over that time we have worked on several disciplines such as vocal techniques to prevent injury (I enjoy singing big belty songs 😅), breathing, vocal agility (those Beyoncé "runs"), audition preparation, classical training, performing a variety of styles (classical, broadway, pop, jazz), and overall professionalism and etiquette when performing.

When I studied with Kim she was able to provide me with the proper warm up and singing techniques. I was able to perform four forty five minute sets multiple nights in a row with out issue. I highly recommend her.
