About Oren
I have been teaching music for 20 years, including private lessons and leading a youth singing/music program at a church. I specialize in flute, including "silver flute", bamboo flute (Bansuri) and Native American style flute. I also teaching singing, with the Tanpura (a Classical Indian instrument), acoustic guitar, songwriting and music theory (both Western, and Classical Indian music theory - Raga)
I am a classroom instructor, working in special education for 25 years, and a Yoga/Meditation instructor.
I am a student-centered teacher and truly enjoy watching students take steps in the process of learning while developing a powerful and therapuetic outlet for self-expression.

I approach each student as an individual, getting to know their learning style and direction with music. I don't use any particular method for a given instrument, but prefer to develop exercises and gather materials based on each student's individual needs and preferences.
