About Monica

My customer service and desire for others to love sewing and fabric as much as I do.

Everything! I love looking at fabric and visualizing what I can create with it. Sewing is such a great escape from everything going on around us. Sewing brings people together and creates something special.

I've always been teaching a variety of subjects over the years, and began teaching sewing last year at the Pinners Conference. It was great fun and I loved working with the students.

I have been sewing since high school, and after retirement, began sewing almost full time. I sew everyday in preparation for upcoming shows, I stay current on trends, new patterns and always looking for new ways to create projects.

About the lesson

I like to meet with them and discuss their needs. The meeting can be in person or via the telephone. I also like to find out their goals and skill levels.

I've worked with students ranging from no experience to experienced sewists.

I would suggest hiring a teacher, who loves fabric and sewing and wants you to do the same. Someone who is patient and is willing to share their sewing secrets.

Quilt shows! I love them. I recently attended the Flying Geese Quilt Guild show in Aliso Viejo. I had a booth, but still had plenty of time to check out the beautiful quilts.

Details

I charge $15.00 an hour for basic sewing lessons. More labor intensive projects are $20.00 an hour.
