About Dutch
Chan Family Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu and Lohan Qigong system is the most complete system alive today, and one of the most practiced martial arts inside and outside of China. I am an International Master and Disciple of Master Chen Yong Fa, the keeper of the Chan (Chen) Family system.
I love watching people grow in every aspect of their lives, whether it be physically, mentally, or spiritually. I especially love seeing the training I provide my students permeate every aspect of their lives.
My mom put me into martial arts at the age of 12 to learn to protect myself. I grew up in Los Angeles.
I have over 40 years martial arts experience, and I am an International Master and Direct Disciple of Master Chen Yong Fa, who is the "Jeurng Mun" (Keeper of the Chen Family Style), and the Great-Great Grandson of the Founder of Choy Lee Fut, Chan Heung. I am 1 of only 2 people certified to teach the Chan Family Choy Lee Fut style in California, and 1 of 5 in the entire United States.

Have a conversations about their overall goals, what the system is about, how I teach, and then discover how those three things come together to provide the best experience and training for the student.
I have worked with children as young as 4 years old, and adults up to 74. You're never too young (unless they can't pay attention for a few minutes at a time) or too old to learn Choy Lee Fut.
Do your due diligence in checking out their background, personality, and how they teach whenever possible. Any good teacher will give you a free class to try out. :-)
I just returned from China (August 2018) where I went through the Disciple ceremony called "Bai See".

At this time I am only teaching private lessons until I get enough interest here in the Los Angeles area, then I will open group classes. At this time, I charge $50/hr.
