About Coach
Locally recognized run coach currently coaching indivdual runners in or near Cupertino HS. Previous group clients: Team In Training, DetermiNation, Start Training, RPD. Whether you are a beginner starting from the couch to 5K or a seasoned runner attempting to BQ, I have the experience you seek. In-person training: ok. Virtual training: ok.
The team needed a Head Coach to start a brand new program. Given my years of experience with Team In Training as Mentor/Captain/Assistant, I was selected. That season, I earned Best Coach and Best New Coach awards.
Certified Coach with degree and certifications. Coached 7 years in group settings for Team In Training and other organizations. Coached individuals for additional 5 years through my hike/run group. Earned numerous coaching awards.
Ran Boston & Chicago marathons, total 20 marathons. Ran 20+ half-marathons. Hiked 20+ 14ers.

Student contacts me here or preferably on Facebook. We meet at a local track. We go over goals and determine an initial training plan. We'll revise as we go. Student sends Coach tracks of his/her workouts.
Generally adult runners. Have coached beginners (couch to 5K) through Boston qualifiers, men, women. Once coached a cancer patient to run a half-marathon.

He's a great coach!
He's great at making a timeline for the training. He planned out the whole schedule from day 1 to finish day. He checked in with me regularly and I sent my Garmin reports to him to analyze and give feedback. Thanks to him, I was able to achieve marathon finisher medals.
