I am a K-6, CA Credentialed teacher, with 25 years teaching experience.

Experience~ Classroom teacher, Substitute teacher, tutor. Able to identify academic areas of weakness, gauge the Learner's interest and attention span, and prepare lesson plans with set goals.

After graduating from SDSU, I moved back to the Bay Area and received my teaching credential from SJSU.

I have a love and passion for growing minds and igniting the love of learning!

My multiple subject teaching credential gets renewed every 5 years. I am bilingual in Spanish.

About the lesson

To assure the best possible results, I get to know my students and their needs. This is a partnership between me, the students, the parents, and many times, the school teacher. Once we communicate the needs, a set of goals can be agreed upon.

I have worked with children from Kindergarten through 6th grade. I have experience with students with IEP's and 504 plans. I have made accommodations to individualize instruction to better meet the needs of each student.

Learning is a lifelong process. Sometimes we have some bumps along the road, and we need a little help. Other times, the road is smooth as glass, and we are ready for all the extras...just like topping off a scoop of ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top! A tutor can help when you need help or when you need to be challenged.

I have boy-girl twins who are Freshman this year. Having them graduate from 8th grade was a thrill, but seeing them happy and thriving in high school is just as exciting!

Details

My fee is $50 for a 1 hour lesson.

I am available during school hours, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

I tutor in my home, as well as at the student's home.

My driving range is 10 miles.
