About Alaina
Nothing makes me happier than watching someone slowly learn how to be a better writer and implement those skills in papers. My job is to no longer have one once you have the skills to write, edit, and excel all on your own. I am a former AP English student with a 4 (out of 5) on the exam. I am currently a Sophomore Communications major at Susquehanna University, where I work at the Marketing and Communications office as a student writer. I have three years of honors courses in English, including two awards for excellence in the subject. I also have a 4 on the AP English exam, a year of writing of a school newspaper, and a job as a Student Writer for a college.

When working with someone new I like to dive right in with an essay they have written recently. From there, I can see what aspects of writing they need the most help in and can create a list of areas that they can improve on. I also make a list of areas they are really strong in to encourage them and keep the conversation both positive and productive.

Details
When pricing for lessons I take into consideration how I meet with the student (online or in person) and the travel time to get to that student. I also tend to price a little higher for younger students, as they often require a little more work. Generally, I like to meet the student and gauge their abilities before determining a price.
