About Mikayla
I have been tutoring my peers and younger students since 2012 when I started High School. I helped my friends younger siblings before that, but did not start formally tutoring until then. I have always been passionate about education, and helping others realize their potential. Teachers do the best they can, but with the classroom sizes today, it's nearly impossible for them to cater to everyone's learning style. This is why I believe it is so important for those of us that have the time to use it to ensure that each student has the help they need to learn and have success in the classroom. I have only selected the subjects in which I have a broad enough understanding to be able to cater to any learning style with ease, in order to provide the best experience and results for each student I have the pleasure of tutoring.
I have a high school degree and four years at a University - I will be graduating next May - for my own education to rely on. I also have 8 years of formal tutoring experience that range from Kingergarten to helping Master's students with papers and study techniques.

I like to begin with an introductory session to speak with the student (and parent if they're a minor) to see what their concerns are and develop a plan suited for them and their learning style. Every session after that will be dedicated to the learning process. If it is a one time session, for example help with a single paper, I like to take the first few minutes to go over what we need to accomplish and developing a plan to do so which they can apply to their future assignments.

Details
Prices vary based on the difficulty level of the curriculum, and how long the student will need my assistance, but here are some examples:
•College freshman needing help with one 3 page paper: $15-$40, depending on if it simply needs to be proofread or completely written and if they need to be taught formatting skills.
•2nd grader needing a session for a single homework assignment: $15, an additional $10 for every hour following.
•9th grader needing an hour long session for English three times a week: $20-$30 per session, depending on what skills are being covered.
