About Clay
I have thoroughly loved teaching psychology for 34 years. I have prepared hundreds of students for exams in both AP and IB. As a reading specialist as well, I am able to help students organize information for better understanding. I have many practical exercises to clarify complex concepts in psychology as well as an extensive set of notes online. As a former classroom honors teacher in Southern California, I am retired from the classroom but still passionate about helping students succeed in psychology, be it understanding the basics, developing an experiment for your IB internal assessment, or structuring your study to prepare for APs.
Psychology is a fascinating field that helps students gain greater understanding into their motivations and behaviors. I love making the connection between theory and personal examples to illustrate how we are influenced cognitively, emotionally and behaviorally by psychological principles.

As a reading specialist as well as a credentialed teacher, I know how to structure material to help improve comprehension. I am a firm believer in applying concepts to real life for students to see psychology at work in their lives.
