About Scott

I have an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and have made three feature films: including an academy award eligible short documentary, a feature that premiered at Slamdance, and a short that won a Cannes Lion. I can help you achieve your filmmaking goals, whatever they may be.

"No art passes our conscience in the way film does." I love the ability to impact audience in a way that no other medium can, and will help my students think about how to use all the tools they have to create emotion: cinematography, sound, directing, editing, performance.

I am using both original lesson plans as well as lesson plans from my time at USC.

About the lesson

First I'll establish the filmmakers goals. If you want to be a director, I'll curate the lessons plans and activities based on that career path. Commercial DP? I've got lessons and exercises for that as well.

Details

Pricing is based on just the facetime at 50 dollars an hour (25 dollars for 30 minutes), but you will have plenty to watch, do, and learn throughout the week. I can give you enough to read, watch, and practice to keep you going on a full-time schedule for the remainder of the week. Will be the cheapest film school on the planet.
